Dr. Xiaoyan Hu

T.C.M.D., L.Ac. – Edina Clinic

Dr. Xiaoyan Hu studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for 7 years before receiving a Ph.D. in TCM with a specialty in Gynecology and Internal Medicine. She has practiced acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for over 30 years, 15 of which were spent treating patients in two Chinese hospitals. Dr. Hu previously held a position as the Supervising Doctor of TCM at the Hainan Medical School, and taught TCM theory at Northwestern Health Sciences in Bloomington. Her special areas of expertise include gynecology, nutrition, and pain management.

Dr. Xiaoyan Hu is the founder and owner of the Chinese Acupuncture & Herb Center, established in 1999.

I was in a pretty severe car accident 2 years ago. I had seen seven different doctors before I came to see Dr. Hu, and tried even more treatments – many of them painful or invasive. I was in constant pain, had been told I would never run again (which seemed like a death sentence to a lifelong runner) and had frequent panic attacks and very little sleep. Seeing Dr. Hu has not only given me relief from all of those symptoms, but its also given me hope. Getting regular acupuncture treatments with Dr. Hu has impacted my life more than I can explain. I am filled with gratitude. Mandy

M.Om., L.Ac., Dipl. O.M. – Edina Clinic

Shari Jeziorski-Maharoof is a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in Minnesota and a nationally board certified herbal medicine practitioner. She earned a Master’s degree in TCM from the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She also has additional training in shiatsu massage.

Shari focuses on the prevention of disease by examining her patient’s lifestyle and nutrition. She is passionate about providing self-care education, so that health continues to improve outside the treatment room. Shari has experience treating gynecological disorders, infertility, digestive disorders, and improving mental health.

I received acupuncture treatments from Shari for chronic pain due to osteoarthritis. My experience was transformative. Over time, my relationship with pain changed, as well as my overall somatic experience. My life is more integrated and joyful thanks to Shari.

I experienced noticeable physiological changes with significantly less inflammation and muscle spasms: a “new normal” that has endured. I truly would not have believed this could be possible after decades of, at times, debilitating pain. Shari is a born teacher, wise and compassionate, who affirms the wisdom of our own healing processes. I cannot possibly recommend Shari highly enough. A. Becker

Cassie Siler received a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Northwestern Health Sciences in Bloomington. She is a board certified acupuncturist (L.Ac) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and is licensed to practice in the state of Minnesota.

Cassie has experience treating chronic pain from overuse, and acute pain from auto-accident or injury. She enjoys helping people recover from sleep, anxiety, and digestive disorders. Cassie also has experience treating chemical dependency. She provides education to her patients about diet and lifestyle, which improves patient’s health outside of the treatment room.

I still can remember the first day I went to see Cassie. I was feeling so imbalanced: migraines, fatigue, no energy, such a sick person. Another problem that I encountered was conceiving. I have been seeing her for one year as of today. In the first 3 months I was being seen 3 times a week. I was really committed because I was feeling better with lots of energy. The migraines were going away after treatments and staying away during the cold seasons. As time went by I became pregnant in February. I was shocked, because I was trying for 2 years. As speechless as I was, acupuncture has helped me with a lot of things in my life. I highly recommend Cassie. She hasn’t been just a great acupuncturist, but a friend and a counselor to helping you get better. Pa

After doing some research and reading some reviews, I decided to give Chinese Acupuncture and Herb Center a try. Fast-forward March 2019, I am healthily pregnant. Lauren is very caring, a good listener, and is attentive to her clients’ needs. She has been positive from the first day. Thank you, Lauren, for all the care you treated me with!
